In 2024, the iconic building at Scandiagade 8, now known as Harvings Pakhus, underwent an extensive renovation and refurbishment by the property owner Barfoed Group.
The building’s interior was significantly transformed with expert guidance from Habitus Design Group, Juul Frost Architects, and Rambøll.
The lighting design was handled by X LIGHT®, who not only designed and executed the advanced lighting solutions but also delivered a complete lighting package from their exclusive partners Reggiani Illuminazione and OLEV. The 230V tracks, tailored specifically to the ceiling systems, include specially developed end and connection pieces. Mounted within these tracks are Incline UGR and Yori Evo Ghosttrack fixtures, providing both general and focused lighting.

As you move through the building, it’s not the lamps that catch your eye but the elegantly integrated black lines in the ceilings and the precise lighting in the work areas.
In all the corridors, black MOOD fixtures adorn the ceilings, creating a harmonious contrast with the black tracks. In the restroom areas, smaller versions of the black MOOD fixtures are also installed. The large main staircase, which forms the heart of the building, is beautifully illuminated and adorned with the Charmer AP, an elegant glass lamp that emits a soft, diffuse light, providing a gentle glow without glare.
Overall, the lighting system consists of around 700 downlights, kilometers of 3-phase tracks, and 400 Incline and track spots.
Additionally, the entire lighting system in the building is controlled by X CONNECT®, which communicates wirelessly across fixture types and automatically adjusts to the incoming daylight.
