Terminal 3 Airside Experience Project

The Terminal 3 Airside Experience Project at Copenhagen Airports A/S aims to make the construction period at Copenhagen Airport a more positive experience for passengers. Led by ZESO Architects, the user-driven design process created a temporary setup that integrates architecture, art, design, and wayfinding in the affected areas.

In collaboration with Creator Projects and artist Ruth Campau, a temporary ceiling of large reflective panels, a lighting system, and new pop-up retail units have been developed.

A key element of the project is the lighting, which highlights Ruth Campau’s 250-meter-long artwork. Following several mock-ups and careful selection, the choice was made to use Zirkol from Nemo Lighting, which swiftly delivered nearly 200 custom units. It was crucial that the linear lights did not appear as standard office lighting but instead as long, very narrow lines, perfectly complementing the artistic and architectural vision of the project.
